Steamed Zucchini

Serves 2

Preparation time 3 minutes. Cooking time 10 minutes.

We used the Microsafe® jug.

4 small to medium sized zucchini

Peel zucchini and slice thinly. Place into jug and add 1/3 cup water and ½ teaspoon salt. Put lid on jug with pourer open. Microwave for 5 minutes. Stir through pourer.Microwave again for 5 minutes with pourer open.

Remove from microwave. Stir through pourer. Let rest for 2 minutes. Leave the flap open while the food is hot. Remove lid. Strain and season with a little butter or olive oil. Serve.

Note: As zucchini contains a lot of water you do not need to add as much water as for other vegetables
