Lemon Poached Apples (or Pears)

Serves 4.

Preparation time 8 minutes.
Cooking time 7 minutes.

We used the 2 litre Thermoglass™ dish, Microsafe® lid and Decor trivet.

6 eating or cooking apples (or pears), peeled, cored and sliced
juice 1 large lemon
½ cup sugar
½ cup water

Place the fruit in the Thermoglass™ dish, add remaining ingredients and stir so the fruit is coated. Cover securely with the Microsafe® lid, steam vent open. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. Remove Microsafe® lid, stir fruit and check for tenderness. Replace Microsafe® lid, with steam vent open. Microwave again for minutes or until soft. Rest hot Thermoglass™ dish on Decor trivet. Let cool. Store in the Thermoglass™ dish with the Microsafe® lid on, steam vent closed. Serve.
