Beef and Rice Dinner

Makes about 250ml

Can store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours or freeze for up to two weeks.

125 gram piece fillet steak, well trimmed and cut into small pieces
2 tablespoons rice
1 cup chicken stock (see our stock recipe specially for babies)
2 ripe tomatoes, peeled and roughly chopped
Put the beef, rice and stock into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cover and cook over very low heat until the rice is cooked through. This will take about 20 minutes and there will be almost no liquid left in the saucepan. Add tomatoes and cook covered for 5 more minutes. Let cool and then put into a blender or food processor and process to either a fine texture (for younger babies) or a coarse texture (for older babies).
