 | Fish, poultry and meat | Fish, poultry and meat can be introduced from about six to eight months but don't expect instant acceptance. When babies don't like something they spit it out. This is most probably because of a dislike of the texture rather than the taste. One of the most common reasons that a baby may seem to be a fussy eater is its reaction to texture.
It may take a dozen tries before a new food is accepted but persevering maximises their chances of enjoying a wide variety of textures and tastes as they grow up. If your baby rejects a food, try it again with a softer texture and then try it again a few weeks later. If the rejection persists, give up and recognise that it is a genuine dislike.
Freezing foods Preparing food yourself for baby and freezing it in Baby Tellfresh® storers is a much better option than buying anything ready frozen. You can be certain of the ingredients and the freezing date.
You will notice with each of our recipes that we specify the quantity produced, rather than how many Baby Tellfresh® storers it will fill. You can determine how much of the quantity should be adequate for a meal for your baby and fill the Baby Tellfresh® storer accordingly.
When freezing meals in Baby Tellfresh® storers, put in each storer only as much as baby will eat in a single meal. For variety, freeze different types of meals in different storers. For easy identification later, note the contents and date on Tellfresh® tags and clip on the storers before freezing. | |
