 | Steamed Salmon (or Ocean Trout) | Serves 4.
Preparation time 8 minutes. Cooking time 4 to 5 minutes.
We used the Tellfresh® Microsafe® 3.5 litre oblong storer with steaming rack and the Microsafe® jug.
4 pieces salmon or ocean trout fillets, each about 100 grams
Butter mix:
45 grams soft butter
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon grated or finely chopped garlic
½ teaspoon grated lemon rind
1 teaspoon sugar.
| Prepare butter mix by putting the butter and other ingredients in the jug and mashing with a fork. Put steaming rack in storer. Add to the storer ¼ cup water and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Place fish on rack. Dab butter mix on top of fish.
Put lid on storer with red vent open. Microwave on high for 4 to 5 minutes, depending on how well done you like your fish. Remove from microwave.
Let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
The juices that have flowed through the rack can be served with the fish.
